The main character of the game is a small plumber, who constantly gets into adventures. He visits different places, where there are enemies. The game consists of many levels. On each level, the player has to destroy all the enemies. The hero can only move left and right. The player can also play as his brother, who is slightly different in appearance but has the same abilities. Characters can also jump, which allows them to hit other platforms. Enemies usually crawl on platforms in the sky. In such cases, the main character needs to jump up and hit the platform from below with his fist, which stuns the enemy and he falls to the ground. The player can then jump on top of him and finish him off. If he does not do this in time, the enemy will come to his senses after a few seconds and can attack the player.
If the enemy regains consciousness, they also accelerate in their movements and can attack much faster. The player can stun him again, but after that, the enemy becomes even faster. Enemies can also appear from pipes that are located everywhere. It can be hit by jumping from above. If the enemy is defeated, a coin falls from the pipe, which must be picked up by the player. These are game points. By collecting them the player gets extra lives. To get another life, it is necessary to collect a certain number of coins. The blocks that hang in the air may be different. The player can find invisible blocks that can only be detected by hitting them. This will cause a coin to fall out of the block or it will become masonry. If the player hits a block with a question mark, a coin will drop out or an enemy will pop out so it comes randomly.
A separate type of enemy in the game is turtles. If you kill them and jump on the shell carelessly, it will start to ride and can hit the player. If it is between two pipes, it will ride back and forth at a time. Additionally, there are some underground levels with lava. If the player falls into lava they die and if the player has no extra lives, they need to restart the game from the very beginning. In case they have more lives, they will lose only one life. After passing every five levels, the player is offered to play an additional game, where there are no enemies, but there are a lot of coins. It takes a limited amount of time to collect them. If they collect only part of the coins, they will only get them. If the player manages to collect all the coins, they will receive additional points.
